Jakarta – Morris Garage (MG) presented the new Cyberster electric car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed which was held in England on 13-16 July 2023 yesterday.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the largest, oldest and most prestigious motor sports festival in the world.
Various famous supercars in the world also slide in this event.
Taking advantage of this event, MG introduced the Cyberster as the world’s first convertible soft-top electric car equipped with “scissor doors”.
According to the official statement Carmudi received, MG signaled the presence of this electric car in Indonesia.
“The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the right place to introduce MG Cyberster to the world. This at the same time confirms MG’s commitment to providing a wide selection of electric cars with the best design and performance,” said Arief Syarifudin, Marketing & PR Director of MG Motor Indonesia, quoted on Tuesday (25/7/2023).
“This good news is a hope as well as a puzzle whether MG Cyberster will soon enter the Indonesian market in the near future. Wait for further information!,” continued Arief.
Previously, this car was planned to enter the global market starting in 2024 as part of MG’s mission to launch 10 electric vehicle (EV), hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and conventional cars over the next 18 months.
The Cyberster itself is touted by the manufacturer as representing all the important elements of a convertible sports car by carrying a low and wide body, soft-top convertible, and scissor doors.
