In Thailand, the Toyota Innova Zenix only has hybrids, different from Indonesia – Nitoba

Bangkok – The Toyota Innova Zenix variant offered to consumers in Thailand is not as much as in the Indonesian market.

Toyota Innova Zenix officially launched in Thailand recently. This model was brought directly from Indonesia, where the production process was carried out at a factory owned by PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN).

As reported by Paultan, Monday (24/7/2023), the Innova Zenix in the Thai market is only offered in two variants, both of which carry hybrid technology.

The variants are 2.0 HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) Premium with a tag of 1.479 million baht or approximately Rp. 644 million and 2.0 HEV Smart for 1.379 million baht or Rp. 601 million.

Just like the one on the Indonesian market, the two Toyota Innova Zenix hybrid variants in Thailand are equipped with an M20A-FXS type petrol engine with a capacity of 1,987 cc.

The peak power generated from this engine is 149 hp at 6,000 rpm and 187.3 Nm of torque at 4,400-5,200 rpm.

Accompanying the gasoline engine, there is also an electric motor which is claimed to be capable of producing a maximum power of 111 hp with a torque of 205.9 Nm.

In terms of features, both variants come with LED headlamps, LED twilight lights, LED front fog lights, LED rear lights, synthetic leather upholstery, driver’s seat with eight settings, ambient light, 7-inch TFT MID screen, keyless entry and start, electronic parking brake, four driving modes (EV, Power, Normal and Eco), 10.1-inch head unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and speakers.

Other features include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning with rear ventilation, rear doors that can be opened with voice commands, front and rear parking sensors, ABS, EBD, VSC, brake assist, traction control, six airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Both the 2.0 HEV Premium and 2.0 HEV Smart variants are also equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) technology as standard equipment. Features include Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).

In the Indonesian market itself, the Toyota Innova Zenix has been present since November 2022.

Offered in two versions, petrol and hybrid with a total of dozens of variants.

There are only four petrol versions with prices ranging from IDR 425.6 million to IDR 476.6 million. While the hybrid version reaches eight variants, prices start from IDR 468.6 million to IDR 624.6 million On The Road Jakarta.
