Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is rumored to be taking the 17-year-old goalkeeper on a tour of Asia against Australia and Indonesia in June 2023.
Scaloni gave a valuable place and opportunity to young Argentine players in international matches this year.
Mateo Morro, who is only 17 years old, according to Infobae, was one of the players brought by Scaloni in the FIFA Matchday match.

Morro is a goalkeeper for a club in the fifth division of the Argentine football league and is under the auspices of Independiente. In nine matches in the 2023 season, Morro will keep five clean sheets.
With the call up to the national team, Morro will get the chance to train with Argentina’s top stars.
“I don’t know anything, it’s crazy. After a year of hard work we will enjoy the results and try to learn from everyone,” Mateo said in an interview with ESPN.
“Hopefully I can save the goal from Leo’s (Lionel Messi) free kick. I can’t even imagine it,” he added.
According to Independiente goalkeeper coach Damian Albil, Morro is a young player who can adapt well and respond well to all input.
Meanwhile, in the last international match, against Curacao on March 28, Argentina was strengthened by three goalkeepers namely Emiliano Martinez, Geronimo Rulli and Franco Armani. The three goalkeepers will also be Scaloni’s mainstay at the 2022 World Cup.
