Valentino Rossi’s team is enjoying a revival moment at the start of MotoGP 2023, its second season in the premier class. The level of the drivers has increased, especially Bezzecchi, with the Desmosedici GP22.

Despite failing to win his throne again, Bezzecchi is now one point away from Francesco Bagnaia. Meanwhile, Luca Marini is performing well after the first five Grands Prix.
This favorable situation has given rise to predictions regarding Bezzecchi’s future, as Borgo Panigale has made no secret of the fact that he could become one of the greatest assets of the future.
Salucci revealed that his team wants to be with third place in Moto2 2021 until 2024.
“I’ve seen a lot of difficulties in this sport, I’m not worried. I hope that Ducati will let Marco stay with our team for another year, I want them to give us support to continue with him,” he told GPOne.
“Yes, our team works for our riders to go to the factory. This project was born for that, it’s not right for us or him to keep Bezzecchi throughout his career. But, we don’t work for another satellite team. If Ducati wants to put him at Pramac, that idea would not make me happy.

He has discussed with the Ducati boss to get a supply of standard factory motorbikes, not satellite teams. This facility deserves the topnotch racer.
“I would like Marco to stay in a team with different conditions than he has now. He now has the same salary and technical package as a satellite team, it is not fair for him to stay like that. I have spoken to Dall’Igna several times and told him I want he stays in VR46 with a factory bike and a direct contract with Ducati,” he continued.
“Now I will take a step back and Bezzecchi’s manager, Gianluca Falcioni, will handle the negotiations. I’m very calm, I don’t want to lose Marco, but we will move forward.”

“I believe that between now and the end of the year the factory teams will improve and we will not. We have to see how much they can do, I think in MotoGP now everything is very extreme, so you can make progress throughout the year but not much.
“I don’t think we can improve half a second per lap, if there is 0.1 or 0.05 that is what we have to balance, we will find a way to do it.”
