Addressing the Conmebol Congress, FIFA President Giannti Infantino said he would make an announcement of the new hosts for the 2023 Under-20 World Cup between Saturday and Monday.

Despite being the host and being able to play at the 2023 U-20 World Cup, the Albiceleste will reportedly not appear at their best.

A number of young Argentine stars such as Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester Unite), Luka Romero (Lazio), to Matias Soule (Juventus), will also be absent from this event.

Garnacho appeared brilliant and shone with MU this season by scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists.

However, Garnacho will not play because MU is not allowed, quoted from Tyc Sports. In addition, Garnacho is also recovering from an ankle injury. This 18-year-old player also never played in the qualifying round.

Although without a number of stars, Argentina U-20 will still be strengthened by several players from big European clubs. Starting from Real Madrid midfielder Nicolas Paz, Maximo Perrone (Manchester City), and Brighton and Hove Albion player Facundo Buonanotte.
