Jakarta — Inchape Motors Private Limited and PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional officially announced and appointed the activities of the assembly and distribution activities of Mercedes-Benz AG in Indonesia.

The two companies formed a joint venture and entered into an agreement related to the sale and purchase of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia factories and distributors.
Mercedes-Benz with Inchape and Indomobil as the new owners will ensure business continuity in Indonesia in all aspects.
It aims to provide long-term security and high levels of transparency.
Matthias Lührs Head of Region Overseas Mercedes-Benz said this step was a business restructuring to strengthen its position in Indonesia.

“We are restructuring our business with the aim of strengthening our position in the Indonesian market,” he said.
He also said that all staffing would continue to operate normally.
Furthermore, Matthias Lührs believes that with the great potential in Indonesia, we can grow bigger with Inchape.
In the future, Mercedes-Benz will also establish a new company that will be 100% owned by Mercedes-Benz to direct new owners.
This transaction includes the transfer of 100% ownership of Mercedes-Benz AG in Indonesia where Inchape owns 70% and Indomobil owns 30%.
This transaction will develop the collaboration between Inchape and Indomobil, continuously building its presence in Indonesia.

Ruslan Kinebas Inchape’s APAC CEO said he was very pleased with the transfer of Mercedes-Benz Indonesia’s business activities to a joint venture with Indomobil.
“This development is proof of Inchape as the partner of choice for Mercedes-Benz, as an effort to optimize their global performance,” continued Ruslan.
Later, all production process activities at the Wanaherang factory, Bogor, West Java, will certainly continue without interruption.
All employees will work and be given the opportunity to work in their current company under new ownership.
“We believe our involvement as a strong local entity in cooperation with the global automotive entity, Inchape, Mercedes-Benz can continue to grow in Indonesia,” concluded Jusak Kertowidjojo, Main Director of Indomobil.
