Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus officially serves as West Java Regional Police Chief. He was appointed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the handover ceremony held at the National Police Headquarters, Friday (31/3).
In this position, Akhmad replaced Inspector General Suntana who was transferred to become Pati Baintelkam Polri in preparation for assignments outside the structure.

Meanwhile, Wiyagus previously served as Lampung Police Chief. He was noted to have held several strategic positions in the Bhayangkara Corps. Starting from Wakpolda West Java to Kapolda Gorontalo.
He has also served outside the Polri structure, namely as the Director of Community Complaints at the KPK. In addition, he also won the 2022 Hoegeng Awards in the Police with Integrity category.
The appointment of Akhmad Wiyagus as West Java Regional Police Chief was based on the Telegram from the Chief of Police dated March 27 2023 signed by Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Gatot Eddy Pramono.
