Mobile phone manufacturer from China, Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 12 Series to Indonesia, Thursday (30/3). There is a 5G variant with a price of around IDR 4.5 million.
Product Marketing Manager for Xiaomi Indonesia, Calvin Nonel, claims that the Redmi Note 12 has a 29 percent increase in engine performance from the previous series.
“Everyone can enjoy Redmi Note 12, starting from the display, camera, power, performance, and others,” said Calvin at the launch in Jakarta, Thursday (30/3).

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is equipped with a series of flagship features that are presented in the mid-range class.
The body of the cellphone is designed with a premium concept. This smartphone comes in two color variants black and blue. The screen is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset with a 6nm manufacturing process, Octa-Core CPU up to 2.6GHz, Mali-G68 GPU, and MIUI 14. Xiaomi only offers an 8/256 GB option for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G.
The kitchen runway is supported by a 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging 67 W turbo charging and with USB-C connectivity.
The camera is equipped with a 50 MP (f/1.8) main camera that uses a Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra wide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. While on the front there is a 16MP camera embedded for selfies.
The back of the Redmi Note 12 Pro carries glass (black) and mate (blue) materials which give a premium impression in the hand.
CNNIndonesia.com held the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G feeling light and thin. The weight of the phone is 187grams and the body is 7.9mm thin.
Xiaomi claims that this mid-range class cellphone is splash and dust resistant, with IP53 certification.

Apart from that, the same cellphone was released at today’s launch, namely the Redmi Note 12. This cellphone has dimensions of 165.7 x 76 x 7.9 mm and weighs 183.5 grams.
Just like its older brother, the Redmi Note 12 also has an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. However, this phone is not yet compatible with 5G services.
Redmi Note 12 carries a screen with an AMOLED panel measuring 6.67 inches, FHD + resolution of 1080×2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, max brightness of 1,200 nits, and coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
On the camera, the Redmi Note 12 is equipped with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front there is a 13MP resolution camera.
The kitchen runway for this cellphone is equipped with a processor, namely Snapdragon 685 which is paired with 4/128GB, 6/128GB and 8/128GB storage options. Then the operating system is MIUI 14 based on Android 13
The battery has a capacity of 5,000mAh which is paired with a 33W charger. Other features are dual SIM, 4G, USB-C, NFC, fingerprint sensor on the side, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
