Indonesian mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati have made it to the last 16 of the Spain Masters 2023 at the Centro Deportivo Municipal Gallur, Madrid, Wednesday (29/3) evening WIB.
Rehan/Lisa escaped after defeating Taiwan representatives, Yang Po-Hsuan/Hu Ling Fang through two games with a score of 21-18, 21-17 in 28 minutes.
Rehan/Lisa faced fierce resistance from Yang/Hu in the first game. The points earned by the two pairs were tight until Rehan/Lisa closed the score with 11-10 during the first game interval.
Rehan/Lisa are slowly getting away from the advantage after the interval. The seventh seed had won 15-13 then 19-15 before finally closing the first game at 21-18.
The points earned by the two pairs again ran tight at the start of the second game. Rehan/Lisa were only able to win 5-4 over Yang/Hu.
The point gap can then be widened to a score of 9-6. Yang/Hu can win two points but Rehan/Lisa can close the interval with an 11-8 advantage.
Rehan/Lisa appeared more confident after the interval. Rehan/Lisa were able to win five points over Yang/Hu with a score of 15-10.
