Azmi Nassar is an Israeli coach who has coached the Palestinian national team in three terms.
The participation of the U-20 Israel national team in the 2023 U-20 World Cup has become a pro and con in Indonesia.
There are a number of parties in Indonesia who reject Israel’s participation in the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. This is because Israel is considered an colonial nation that continues to oppress the Palestinian people. In addition, Indonesia also does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.

However, there are also parties who have no problem with Israel participating in the 2023 U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. This is because the U-20 World Cup is a sporting event and a FIFA celebration which does not need to be linked to political issues.
In Palestine itself they do not prohibit Israeli players from playing in their league. In fact, the Palestinian national team itself was trained by an Israeli coach, Azmi Nassar.
Azmi Nassar is a trainer born in Nazareth, Israel, March 26, 1957. Now Azmi Nassar has died on March 26, 2007 or at the age of 49 years.
In his coaching career, Azmi Nassar has coached the Palestinian national team three times. Azmi Nassar was first trusted to coach the Palestinian national team in 1999-2000.
Then he handled the Israeli club, Bnei Sakhin in 2000/2001. After that he returned to coach Palestine in 2001.
Azmi Nassar then coached his hometown club Maccabi Ahi Nazareth for one year in 2002-2003.
After that, Azmi Nassar was again entrusted with managing the Palestinian national team from 2005 to 2007.
The rejection of the arrival of the Israeli team to Indonesia has long tails. FIFA finally revoked Indonesia’s hosting status at the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
