Shin Tae Yong revealed the reasons for appointing Dendy Sulistyawan to be the captain of the Indonesian national team against Burundi in the second leg, Tuesday (28/3).

“Indeed, previously Fachruddin was the captain and he led well but couldn’t play. So I appointed Dendy and I hoped he could get better. To be honest, there was no big meaning behind that (appointment),” said Shin Tae Yong after the Indonesian match vs Burundi, Tuesday (28/3).
However, when Asnawi Mangkualam came on in the 59th minute to replace Pratama Arhan. Dendy immediately handed over the captaincy to Asnawi.

But Indonesia managed to equalize to 2-2 through Jordi Amat’s header. The Indonesia vs Burundi match in the second leg ended with a score of 2-2.
While in the first match which took place on Saturday (25/2), the Indonesian national team won 3-1 over Burundi.
