ASUS IoT, a global provider of AIoT solutions, is thrilled to attend Embedded World 2023 from March 14-16 in Nuremburg, Germany. Products to be exhibited will be ASUS IoT product line such as AI Edge computers, industrial motherboards, COM Express (COMe) modules, Tinker-series single-board computers (SBC), Mini PCs, market-ready solutions and AI solutions. This impressive portfolio of embedded systems and IoT offerings delivers leading ASUS IoT hardware and software computing capabilities and services across multiple vertical markets.
Powerful edge computer for AI-inference applications
Powered by 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, ASUS IoT launched a trio of next-generation edge-AI GPU computers.
The PE3000G is a true fanless edge computer that works seamlessly with NVIDIA® Ampere/Turing GPUs or Intel Arc™ A – series MXM. Specifically, the Intel Arc A350M, A370M, A550M and A730M MXM GPUs are supported by ASUS IoT.
The PE4000G, a rugged edge computer, supports a GPU TDP of up to 200 W and loads up to two PCI Express® (PCIe®) expansion cards. The PE6000G, the world’s first industrial computer to support a GPU TDP of up to 450 W, is a powerful beast for high-throughput graphics processing via PCIe 5.0.
The three new products have an extraordinary ability to withstand extreme environments, for example: significant temperature variations, wide voltage requirements, and even high vibration situations such as factory floors to road bumps. With up to 64 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz memory, fanless design, and compliance with MIL-STD-810H standards, these products are flexible and powerful for use in demanding edge-AI applications, such as machine vision, intelligent video analytics, and autonomous vehicles.
ASUS IoT also used the momentum of this Embedded World event to announce its PE1100N AI-based NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ NX and Orin™ Nano edge-computing systems. The system delivers high-level AI performance in a compact, fanless design that’s ideal for AI at the edge. In particular, the system also features diverse connectivity and benefits from a design that can support a wide range of input voltages and temperatures. This edge-computing system also offers optional WiFi and Bluetooth as well as expandable slots for 4G/5G modules. In addition, the system is also ideal for use in industrial environments such as traffic and audience analysis.
The Tinker product line is growing, excellent for industrial automation
ASUS IoT also revealed new lines of Tinker products, such as the Tinker Board 3 and Tinker V series. The new open-frame panel PC series designed for industrial automation also features Tinker Board 3 as an embedded product for use.
Featuring a quad-core Cortex-A55 processor with 64-bit Arm® architecture, the Tinker Board 3 series delivers single-board computing in a compact size with support for Linux (Yocto and Debian) and Android operating systems. With a long service life guarantee of up to seven years, the Tinker Board 3 series benefits from versatile interfaces for superior system capabilities, such as PoE, LVDS, COM and CAN buses, as well as M.2 E and M.2 B slots to support expansion modules wireless or 4G/5G.
ASUS IoT is also moving a step further by incorporating Tinker Board 3 into its latest series of open-frame panel PCs to meet the growing digital transformation needs of smart industries, such as HMI automation, self-service kiosks, signage, and IIoT applications. The new PP-101W-3568 and PP-156W-3568 models respectively have 10.1 and 15.6-inch projective-capacitive touch panels with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and can be customized easily with the open-frame bezel design. Fanless design and low power CPU ensure greater reliability and durability. With side brackets and VESA installation, the new open-frame panel PC from ASUS IoT offers support for a variety of installation methods and applications.
Finally, ASUS IoT has launched Tinker V, the first 64-bit RISC-V SBC to adopt an open-source architecture to broaden options for the industrial IoT developer community. With support for Linux OS and multiple I/O ports, this product with a compact Pico-ITX form factor provides flexibility for versatile industrial deployments.
The latest industry motherboards for embedded applications
ASUS IoT has also built a comprehensive portfolio of industrial motherboards to support the latest 13th Gen Intel processors designed to meet the demands of diverse industries. In particular, the IM series puts out rugged industrial motherboards, while EM offers guaranteed rugged industrial motherboards with extended life cycles.
Based on these key system components, Configure-to-Order Service (CToS) from ASUS IoT is brought to market. Driven by the dedicated and agile ASUS IoT R&D team and the support of broad industry vendors, ASUS IoT is able to serve customers with fast time-to-market and flexible production.
ASUS IoT also released the new Coral Dev Board Micro; a robust microcontroller board with built-in camera, microphone and Coral Edge TPU to accelerate prototyping and deploying low-power embedded systems with inferencing machine-learning (ML) on devices. Coral Wireless Add-on and PoE Add-on boards are installed to provide Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or Ethernet connectivity.
Innovative AI-powered software solutions for industrial applications
In addition to strong hardware capabilities, ASUS IoT also provides integrated and AI-based software and hardware solutions such as AISVision, AISPHM, and AISEHS to realize intelligent manufacturing. AISVision is an intuitive toolkit that simplifies business processes for system integrators (SI) and machine builders that can support the creation of effective AI models for automated optical inspection (AOI). With just four steps, AISVision can reduce up to 80% the effort typically required compared to traditional Aoi methods.
AISPHM, or the AIS Prognostic and Health Management platform, combines standard ISO 10816 rules with our proprietary AI technology to increase the accuracy of the problem diagnostic engine.
Finally, AISEHS, which is a management service platform for environment, health and safety (EHS). This AI-powered SaaS is designed to improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) on worker safety and to minimize potential risks through the use of AI. In addition, this SaaS also provides risk visualization reports to EHS managers to help achieve greater optimization and production management.
