The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator team secured a number of documents including an order for payment of performance allowances (tukin) when they searched the Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Central Jakarta, Monday (27/3) evening.
“(Secured) employment decrees, calculation of real tukin, orders for payment of tukin,” said a source CNNIndonesia.com, Monday (27/3).
This source stated that the KPK team had brought one of the high-ranking officials from the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal during the process of searching the case.

“They were brought only to show where they were. When looking for the exact document, they were informed that there was a place where they put the document,” said the source.
The KPK searched a number of places in the Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, one of which was the office of the Secretary of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal. The search process took about 3.5 hours.
Apart from that, the KPK this afternoon searched the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal’s office in Tebet, South Jakarta.
The anti-corruption agency confirmed that it was investigating a suspected corruption case in the payment of employee tukin at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
This case started with a public complaint which was followed up by a process of inquiry and investigation.
There are at least 10 people who have been named by the Corruption Eradication Committee as suspects for alleged unlawful acts that have caused losses to the state’s finances of up to tens of billions of rupiah.
“This case has gone up to the investigation stage because the KPK has at least two pieces of evidence and there are several parties who can be legally accounted for,” said Head of KPK Reporting Section, Ali Fikri.
