“For me, they (Race Direction) should ban him for one race, at minimum. Like Takaaki Nakagami in Barcelona,” said Espargaro.
“I don’t make the rules. I just hope Miguel is okay. The speed of the impact can crush your knee,” Espargaro added.
The Spaniard also recalled the Brad Binder incident that hit him causing him to suffer from prolonged illness.
“Brad hit my knee, and I was sick for a year. So I hope Miguel is okay,” said Aleix Espargaro.
Luckily, in the accident at corner 3, lap 2 of the Portuguese MotoGP, Oliveira did not suffer any serious injuries, such as broken bones.
On this occasion, Aleix also discussed a number of incidents that occurred during the Portuguese MotoGP. Starting from Joan Mir who nudged Fabio Quartararo to the Luca Marini incident with Enea Bastianini.
“We have a million cameras on the bike. Why can’t they see these cameras and analyze them? We are only 20 riders, not 100,” said Espargaro.
