Jakarta — PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2023 will certainly be held again on May 17-21 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
It is hoped that the second exhibition specifically selling electric vehicles will become an arena for the public to buy electric vehicles amidst the prevailing subsidies.
Moeldoko, Chairman of PERIKLINDO, said that PEVS 2023 is the right momentum for all people who are interested in owning electric vehicles.
“The implementation of PEVS 2023 is the right momentum, both for business people to convey literacy about electric vehicles themselves, as well as for people who are interested in owning electric vehicles,” he said.
Moeldoko also said that this event really supports the Government in accelerating the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle (KBLBB) program.
“We also support the government in accelerating the Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicle program by providing a meeting room for the government and stakeholders,” continued the man who also serves as Chief of Staff of the Indonesian President.
Daswar Marpaung, President Director of Dyandra Promosindo, stated that he would fully assist the PEVS 2023 event to achieve Indonesia’s 2060 Net Zero Emission target.
“Through the PEVS 2023 exhibition, Dyandra Promosindo provides strategies as well as more attractive event concepts and features, in accordance with the big theme of welcoming the era of vehicle electrification in Indonesia,” said Daswar Marpaung.
Assistance policy for purchasing electric vehicles based on Presidential Regulation no. 55 of 2019 concerning the Acceleration of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle Program, effective as of March 20, 2023.
There are at least 7 special incentives for electric vehicles provided by the Government of Indonesia represented by the Indonesian Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
First Tax Holiday up to 20 years. Super Tax Deduction up to 300%. Free of VAT on mining goods. Free of VAT on imports and acquisition of capital goods. PPnBM for domestic electric cars is included in the Ministry of Industry’s program with a 0% rate. 0% MKD import duty through various FTE and CEPA collaborations. Transfer fee and motor vehicle tax of 90%.
Most recently, the Government provided assistance with converting electric motors and buying new units with a subsidy of IDR 7 million per unit.
The budget will be provided in 2023 and 2024 with a total value of up to IDR 7 trillion.

Then the Government will also provide incentives for electric cars and 4-wheeled vehicles and above including electric buses which will take effect on April 1, 2023.
Reflecting on the previous year, PEVS 2022 is claimed to be able to capture a total of up to 40,000 visitors.
This is considered an achievement in itself for PERIKLINDO and Dyandra Promosindo because they have succeeded in exceeding the visitor target.
