Practice 1 Moto2 Portugal: Jake Dixon is Unrivaled

The track was still dry until the first free practice for Moto2, even though the clouds were getting thicker. Fermine Aldeguer was forced to bring his motorbike back to the garage even though he had only briefly circled the track.

Barry Baltus led the pack first with 1:44,969. After that, the first position was contested by several racers.

Pedro Acosta, who was chasing the highest order, lost control so it crossed the grass area and went wide. Jake Dixon also took the top and stayed there for more than 15 minutes.

The British racer posted 1:43.046 and was hard to catch. He was still there despite his crash at Turn 5 with 21 minutes left of the session. Acosta and Manuel Gonzalez managed to approach with a difference of 0.005 seconds and 0.179 seconds.

When the session was only 17 minutes old, it started to drizzle and the wind got stronger. Meanwhile, all drivers are in the pits. The team changed tires and changed the set-up due to weather changes.
