Repsol Honda racer Marc Marquez allegedly suffered a broken bone after crashing into Miguel Oliveira at the 2023 Portugal MotoGP race, Sunday (26/3).
“Medical info: Racer #93 @marcmarquez93’s right hand may have suffered a metacarpal fracture in the first MotoGP series,” said the official MotoGP statement regarding Marquez’s injury.
The statement added that Marquez would soon be rushed to the Dexeus Hospital in Barcelona, Spain, to undergo further examination.

The moment of the terrible collision between Marquez and Oliveira occurred at the start of the 2023 Portugal MotoGP race which was held at the Algarve International Circuit, Portimao.
The unfortunate event occurred because of the aggressive race that was carried out by Marquez. The Baby Alien, who appears fast, is eager to be able to rush forward.
The incident then occurred on the third lap. Marquez, who was so aggressive, slowed down when he entered the third corner.
As a result, the motorbike that Marquez was riding on crashed into Oliveira’s motorbike hard from the right side. Marquez and Oliveira fell and were unable to continue the race.
Marquez then got up and approached Oliveira. Apart from that, the Baby Alien also made an apologetic gesture to the audience present.
Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia continued to lead the race until he finally came out victorious. Maverick Vinales finished second followed by Marco Bezzecchi in third.
