25 Stalls Affected by Fire in Depok Candlenut Market

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —

A fire occurred at the Kemiri Muka Market, Depok, West Java, on Sunday (26/3).

At least 25 stalls caught fire as a result of a fire suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit.

“Initial information is that 25 kiosks have caught fire. It is suspected that there was a short circuit,” said Head of Operational Control for the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service, Welman Naipospos, as quoted from detikcom, Sunday (26/3).

Welman said that the fire at the Kemiri Muka Market occurred at 17.35 WIB.

Then, as many as 40 firefighters descended on the location to deal with the fire. Apart from that, two fire engines were also deployed.

“3 units of MAKO. Arrived at the TKP (crime scene) at 17.40 WIB and the controlled point was 19.40 WIB,” said Welman.

Welman also reported that there were no casualties in the fire incident at the Muka Candlenut Market. Meanwhile, the amount of losses is still in progress.
