English – Toyota is reportedly planning to prepare a car recycling program that has exceeded a certain usage time limit. Recycling the vehicle is intended so that people can use it sustainably.
Agustin Martin, President and Managing Director of Toyota Great Britain, said that this plan is a form of the manufacturer’s commitment to the Kinto concept.
“We are very familiar with the two to three year cycle of new car use in the UK, but we have to know what happens in the second and third cycles of any used cars out there,” he said.
Recycling the car in question is to do a lot of major repairs by replacing spare parts so that the car looks like new so that its service life is longer.
“At least after 10 years of use, we will bring the vehicle back to the factory to be updated. We will provide the best standards to ensure the second user has the best possible new-like vehicle,” Agustin continued.
After the second car recycling, Toyota will advise the owner to do a third recycling after some time to reduce the environmental damage caused by the impact of new vehicle production.
So, how will the Toyota car recycling process be carried out?
According to Agustin, Toyota will replace many old components with new ones, including the engine, battery, body parts, and others.
“We are still preparing how to recycle it. How we use different and reusable critical components. Then what about the new vehicle materials that will be used in the factory. We are thinking about it,” he explained.
It is very likely that the car that will become the recycling project is the Toyota bZ4X.
Toyota also admits that the battery performance of the bZ4x electric car will decline by 90% within 10 years.
Toyota admits that this vehicle recycling plan will continue to be refined by Toyota in the UK and will not be set in the near future.
