REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The third dose of Covid-19 vaccine program or vaccine booster will start immediately on January 12, 2022. The head of the Covid-19 Task Force (Satgas) for the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Makky Zamzami, stated that he is ready to assist the government in accelerating booster vaccines, especially for vulnerable people.
“Essentially, we are ready to help the government speed things up. If the faucet is opened, it will be possible for nodes to carry out vaccinations booster, we will help accelerate it, especially the free ones,” said Makky when contacted Republika.co.id, Monday (10/1/2022).
Covid-19 Vaccine booster will be provided with two schemes, namely free and paid. However, according to Makky, the NU Peduli Task Force cannot manage the paid ones.
“Nah, which is free maybe we will help to speed up. Later the groups that will be determined will be religious leaders, Islamic boarding schools and in villages,” he said.
