An influential government advisory panel at the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends booster injections or booster COVID-19 for younger teens.
Booster already recommended for everyone aged 16 years and over.
Earlier this week, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allowed additional Pfizer vaccines to also be given to children ages 12 to 15.
But before the additional vaccinations can begin, the CDC must sign an agreement to provide the booster dose.
The CDC’s advisory panel on Wednesday said younger teens, and those ages 16 and 17, should get booster. [ka/mg]
