China — Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) hybrid The Huawei AITO M5 Smart Car was officially introduced to the Chinese public last week.
The second new car from the technology company is equipped with a developed operating system in house named HarmonyOS to facilitate integration with other Huawei products.
Citing Gizmochina, Monday (3/1/2021), the existence of HarmonyOS became the main highlight of the presence of an SUV whose design took inspiration from the Porsche Macan.
The main function of HarmonyOS is to present easy integration all at once seamless between Huawei products. Starting from smartphone, laptop, smartwatch, and of course including the Huawei AITO M5 Smart Car.
One of the applications in this car is a digital car key. In this case the manufacturer uses the Huawei Wallet mobile application which logically must be installed on the smartphone smartphone car owner.
The car key uses Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (NFC) networks to connect to the vehicle. With this digital car key, the owner can do many things like when using an ordinary key.
Useful When Car Keys Are Lost
An example of one scenario using this digital car key is when the owner loses his car key. Car owners can still open the door armed with this innovative technology.
Even if smartphone in the off state because the battery runs out. NFC technology can still perform its role to function as a digital car key.
Regarding the security factor, the manufacturer uses special encryption for Bluetooth and NFC according to the China ICCE standard. Factor road safety and user privacy is also a concern of the manufacturer in developing this feature.
At this time the digital car key feature can only be found on the HarmonyOS 0.2 operating system which is found on smartphone Huawei.
But Huawei intends to provide an even more practical experience to its consumers by embedding this feature in the smartphone smartwatch Huawei Watch 3.
