Whole circuit installing grass, gravel trap and carpets like grass for run-off. But in recent years, the majority of track managers have turned the area into asphalt and painted it green.
They installed sensors in the area to warn about track limit. Riders are only allowed to pass kerb four times before getting a penalty.
According to Dorna and the circuit manager, all these steps are to limit accidents. However, a counter view is given by Stoner.
Throughout the 2021 season, there were still many incidents and some ended with the loss of a driver’s life. Para rider Moto3 is still reckless.
Lost run-off The classic that was accused of being asphalt was seen as having contributed to all these events. They are not afraid to duel until they cross the barrier.
“I think the big support has to come from race direction. I think there needs to be clearer or definitive decisions in driving and things like that, because there have been no issues for many years,” he said.
“And now, there is all this flexibility, there is no more edge of the track. It kept going and was limited by some green paint.
“I don’t think it helps the situation, the riders have no fear because there is no edge of the track where previously there was green grass, where every rider can check himself.
“Now it’s like, ‘Hey, I’m going to beat him and it doesn’t matter if I get off the track because there’s still a lot of part of the track there.”.

Ex rider The Ducatis also highlight the loss of respect for one another. Race direction need to act decisively in setting punishment.
“I think every rider needs to learn a little more about respect for each other. I don’t think it’s just the young drivers that are causing it. I’ve seen many drivers who are more mature and those who are more experienced do similar maneuvers,” said Stoner.
“In my opinion, it all comes from penalties and penalties that may be less strict and not definitive and clear. If it was more severe than that, then every driver would be more restrained and not reckless.
“But, for me, the worst thing to happen in motorcycle racing is run-off extra. There are no track edges now, no boundaries and I think it’s very difficult to keep everyone on board.”
