“To anticipate the occurrence of total traffic jams in the Puncak-Cipanas area, we will carry out a number of flow engineering, in addition to implementing the odd-even system and closing the route to the area, on December 31, precisely at 20.00 WIB until January 1 at 02.00 WIB,” said Kasatlantas Polres Cianjur AKP Mangku Anom.

According to information, traffic density in the Puncak area has occurred since Monday (12/27/2021). The accumulation of vehicles generally occurs at the point to lodging, restaurants, and tourist attractions.
Meanwhile, the highest level of current density is predicted to occur one day before New Year’s Eve with a volume increase of up to 50 percent.
Furthermore, AKP Mangku appealed to the public to celebrate the new year at home. Although basically there is no official ban from the government.
“Although there is no prohibition from the government, we still urge residents not to celebrate the New Year excessively, so that it can cause crowds. It’s better to celebrate the New Year at home,” he said.
